Lions, and Tigers, and Bears…

Ok, so none of those, but here are some fun pics of the wildlife I’ve seen so far! Also some shots of the house animals, and some other fun outings I’ve gone on lately.

Tame zebra at Mlilwane Nature Reserve. A beautiful place where they reintroduced wildlife that onced roamed free in this region. Apparently if you see zebra at one of the big parks, they run before they even see you...these guys are so used to people, that they no longer see them as a threat.

Crouching warthog at Mlilwane. They run around the lodge trying to steal meat from the braai's (BBQ's).

This is a skull from a rhino...it was killed for its tusk, and you can see the gaping hole in the front where it once was. They had 3 of these on display, but historically there are thousands more.

This is some kind of bok, either a blesbok or the like...they are basically deer cousins, with funny stripes. They also have these enlarged glands on their hind legs that they use to mark their territory.

This is one of the crazy dogs at the house, Diesel a bull terrior. She's about 7 weeks old and can't sit still for more than 5 seconds...constantly biting my feet.

Here she is, attacking one of the three cats. A pretty common happening around the house. The cats fight back very little, and let her get away with it for the most part.

There she goes again, attacking Robbie, one of my house brothers, while he's trying to change my gas filter.

Me on a rock. I went hiking last Saturday at Ngwempisi Hiking Trails with my new Irish friend Andrew, and America friend Sara.

Heading home, with the little engine that could! See me, on the right hand drivers side...so weird! I constantly go to the wrong door.
